Restricted Access Area

Background
Please read the information below and take a look at the very useful PowerPoint presentation 'Member Access Portal Tutorial – Registration and Use' on the right hand side. This tutorial will take you through the registration process step by step and explain the benefits of the Member Access Portal. It also includes step by step information regarding the additional benefits for club secretaries/presidents to keep club information up to date and the facilities for district governors.

We have listened to members' comments over the last 12 months and understand that you may have several user names and passwords to overcome before accessing Rotary information from a variety of websites (RI/Club & District-template/RIBI). We have collaborated with Rotary International HQ in Evanston to try and make your lives a little easier by reducing at least one user name and password.

New login process (effective 1st December 2009):
Previously, the login to the RIBI website Members' Area was your RI membership ID and home postcode (or in the Republic of Ireland, your surname with a capital first letter). This process has now changed. Instead, please type in your email address in the left box above, and a unique password in the right box, the same information that you use to log into the RI Global Database via the RI Member Access Portal.

What action do you need to take?
Rotarians within RIBI will fall into one of three scenarios:-

  1. If you have already registered to use the RI Member Access Portal (http://www.rotary.org/en/selfservice/Pages/login.aspx), using your email address and the password you have set up, you will now be able to access the Members' Area of the RIBI website (www.ribi.org) using the same email and password, and you do not need to take any further action. (If you have forgotten your password, click 'Forgotten password?' at top right of page.)
  2. If you have not registered for this RI facility, but you are listed on the RI Global Database - with your current email address - as a member of your club (and therefore have a RI membership ID number), you can 'Register Now' to obtain a password that will give you access to both the RI Member Access Portal AND the RIBI Members' Area. Click here to go to the MAP registration page on the RI website.
  3. If you are currently not listed on the RI Global Database as a member of your club, you will need to ask your club secretary to do this (remembering to include an email address) before you can register to use the Member Access Portal, which in turn will give you the password to use the RIBI Members' Area. The Operations Team at the Secretariat can also assist you with this if you have any problems.

If you are a club secretary and you're having some difficulty updating the club membership or registering yourself on the RI Global Database, the Operations Team at the RIBI Secretariat will, of course, provide you with as much help as possible. Please contact a member of the Operations Team on 01789 765411 or email: info@ribi.org. Click here to go to the MAP registration page on the RI website.
